私はこれまで、地球を科学的に観察し、理解する研究に携わってきました。山の奥深く、地下の鉱山、そして深海まで、さまざまな自然フィールドを探索し、岩石、鉱物、化石を集めて分析することで、地球の自然現象の解明に取り組んできました。
一方で、自然に触れ、地球を深く知っていく中で、データや論文には残らない感覚を呼び起こす、感動的な光景に出会ってきました。
数億年をかけて大地を作り上げた岩石の力強さ
森や石の香りを運んでくる風の匂い
満点の星空にように輝くミクロな鉱物のきらめき
暗闇の坑道の出口を照らす光の暖かい手触り…
こうした感覚は、私の心を強く動かし、想像の世界にまで広がっていくことに気づきました。
GeoFantasyは、そうした科学と想像のあいだで呼び起こされる感覚、心の動きやイメージを、日々のスケッチ、試行錯誤、キャラクターたち、そして絵物語として、心のままに描き出していく場所です。
絵も物語も、まだ描き始めたばかりです。科学と想像のあいだを行き来しながら、GeoFantasyの世界観は少しずつ成長し、変化し、広がっていきます。その過程を、一緒に楽しんでもらえたら嬉しいです。
Earth: Drawn by my heart between science and imagination
I have spent my life observing and seeking to understand the Earth through science.
From deep in the mountains, to underground mines, and even to the depths of the ocean, I have explored a wide range of natural environments. By collecting and analyzing rocks, minerals, and fossils, I have worked to uncover the processes and phenomena that shape our planet.
At the same time, through encountering nature and coming to know the Earth more deeply, I have experienced scenes of profound beauty—moments that evoke sensations beyond what can be captured in data or recorded in scientific papers.
The power of rocks that have formed the land over hundreds of millions of years.
The scent of wind carrying the fragrance of forests and stone.
The sparkle of microscopic minerals, shining like a sky full of stars.
The touch of light illuminating the exit of a dark tunnel…
These sensations have moved me deeply, and I realized that they extend into the realm of imagination.
GeoFantasy is a place where I give form to these feelings—born in the space between science and imagination—through daily sketches, experimentation, characters, and visual stories, guided by intuition and curiosity.
Both the drawings and the stories are only just beginning. As I move back and forth between science and imagination, the world of GeoFantasy will gradually grow, change, and expand. I would be delighted if you could enjoy this journey together with me.
